Petrosino nearly hits for cycle

Nick Petrosino hit a home run, a triple and two doubles to drive in four runs and lift Auburn Firefighters to a 13-6 victory over Bellerdine Investigations in an Auburn Pony League game on Friday.
Max Pinchak had three hits (triple), Malcolm Kellogg had two hits (home run) and three RBIs, and Austin Duger, Jay Mizro, Chris Miccuci and Mike Kick each had one hit for Firefighters. Kellogg (five strikeouts), Max Pinchak (two strikeouts) and Ben Pinchak (three strikeouts) shared mound duties, and Johnny Eldred played well on defense.

For Bellerdine, Ryan Dailey homered and doubled, and Mike Biata added a triple. Jake Charles and Bradley McMahon pitched, and Alex Casper played great defense.

The Printery 8,

Hammond and Irving 5

Tommy Walsh led the Printery on defense, and Brett Lowe, Jordan Tabone, Jordan Jackson and T.J. Baranick pitched.

Tyler Daddabbo and Trevor Hogan led the offense for Hammond, while Jay Wilkes and Nick DeJoy pitched.

Dunkin Donuts 10,

Auburn Credit Union 2

Patrick LaDouce and Anthony Alberici each hit three-run home runs and a triple to lift Dunkin Donuts. Jared Palmer and Trent Lawrence had three hits apiece, Tyler Quinn and Nick Alberici each had two hits, Brent DeBois tripled, and Tyler Smith added a hit.

Nick Adams and Victor Martinez each had a hit for Auburn Credit Union.

AUBURN LITTLE LEAGUE

Mortimer's 7,

Stanton Automatics 3

Matt Nolan fanned 10 batters, and Matt Brooks had a pair of strikeouts to lead Mortimer's. Robbie Relfe had three hits, and Nolan and Tom Alexander each had two hits. Mitch Dec had a double, and Brooks, Kevin Talbot and Chris Stoddard each had a single.

Jake O'Hearn had two hits (double) to lead Stanton. Colin Mitchell had a triple, Cody Mitchell doubled, and Enrique Torres had a single.

Bouley's 9, Nucor 3

Mikey Charles struck out 10 batters in five innings, and Matt Netti closed it out to seal the win for Bouley's. Jamie Kelly led the offense with three of his team's 10 hits.

Mike Baim had two hits for Nucor, and he, Jeff Gardner and John Rizzo shared mound duties.

BOYS AND GIRLS

Blue Jays 17, Cardinals 16

Emma Nolan had the game-winning RBI, and Alexandria Bolak hit a home run to lead the Jays. VyShaun Davis and Ross Burgmaster had doubles, and Jacob Coleman and Steven Osbourne each had hits.

Ryan Chalupnicki, Jake Reilly, Katie Bashta, Caleb Lousbury, Dylan Flask and Bobby Faynor led the offense for the Cardinals.

Cubs 23, Pirates 18

Noah Rielly and Chloe Leader both hit triples, and Eric Kennedy and Nicholas Rink each had three hits for the Cubs. Emmet Mack, Briley Lazio and Greg Walsh played well on defense.

Jack Schattinger hit a grand slam to lead the Pirates, and J.J. Baker, Emily Klock, Ricky Currier and Kristen Mohan each had two hits. Andrew Bishuk and Zack Galbally played great defense.
