Butler Services scored the winning run in the bottom of the final inning to edge Autech Plastics 15-14 on opening day for the Sandlot Baseball League.

Riley Cole had four hits for Butler, and Matthew Ward, Zachary Squires and Kaylin McCarthy each had three hits. Lilly Bellnier played well on defense.

Jake Brown had a grand slam for Autech, and Lane Reynolds and Saidee Mathews each had three hits. Terrance O'Donnell played well on defense.

Vietnam Vets 11,

Nick Nelepovitz and Mason Miller both played well at the plate and in the field.

Mathew DeGregis also played well, and Deven Aldrich got two outs.

Little Giants 10,

Auburn Police Dept. 8

Hunter Charles struck out five batters for the Little Giants and added a hit in the victory. Luke Boedicker (two strikeouts) and Nicco Lupo (one strikeout) also pitched for Little Giants. Cole Bowen, Boedicker (double) and Lupo (double, triple) each had two hits, and Kevin Gauthier and Joe Messina each had a hit.

Dan DeFranco led APD with three hits, and DeFranco, Matt Covich and Jake Clarks shared mound duties.

Tom Thumb 5, Fuccillo Auto 2

Justin Fasce pitched a complete game and struck out 12 for the win. Joe Schillace added a pair of hits, and Nick Mitchell had a triple.

For Fuccillo, Ryan Ringwood and Kyle McNabb each had two hits, and Mike Carberry had a triple.

Treshaun Stokes was the winning pitcher, and Austin Quick and Hunter Haff also pitched for Union Springs X (7-0).

Jimmy Drancsak had a triple and a home run, Haff was 2-for-2, and Quick and Garrett Cunningham (double) each went 2-for-3. Jacob Jrinec was 2-for-3.

Kevin Cunningham (double), Logan Pennird ad Tyler McNeal each had a hit.
