Who honestly can take the position that gorillas belong in cages, neither should most human beings? Please support your local SPCA here and around the world.
I see that liver transplant has worked wonders for Roy, he looks so healthy now. Maybe it is God's demand that he bring some resolution to the bum rap he got.

City Manager Mark Palash said, the city has been increasing property taxes instead of water rates. If that's the case, why am I paying much more for water now than I was 10 years ago.

With Mrs. Clinton traveling the country raising millions of dollars for her doomed presidential campaign, who might be representing our state in the U. S. Senate in her absence?

The brilliant Yankees signing Roger Clements for $8,900 a pitch will be about as effective as it would be to throw a deck chair off the sinking Titanic.

Why in the world would governments build roads out of concrete above the Mason Dixon line where the work of winter frost wreaks irreparable damage?

" Well, Auburn nearly had its first fatality due to the new antisafety law Mr. Palesh proposed because he does not like noise. I am just glad we got lucky and no one was hurt. "

" you wonder huh? All those locations should be metered and paying for their water use too. We still don't know where all the lost water went. "

" ummm check your bills...the estimates are way to high..Even after they read them something is not right. are we also paying for something the city and county use and certain facilities? "

" how much of the lost water goes to the city and county buildings, the prison and the schools? what are their readings like or don't they get read??? "

Water Rates wrote on May 20, 2007 5:52 PM:

" There is far more to water rates than you consider. Expansion, more lift stations, repairing the current system, the future, all these factors are in your water rates, NOT JUST THE PAYING FOR USED WATER THAT YOU USED. "

Vote Counter wrote on May 20, 2007 3:56 PM:

" I'm not necessarily a Hilary supporter (way too early to settle on a candidate). But you should know that out of all the Presidential Candidates, Hilary has had the best attendence and voting record in the Senate during the past year. She has missed only three senate votes. Some of the other candidates have only made three votes. She appears to still be doing her job. "

" If the gas companies can screw us, why not the electric company too. "

Paying more wrote on May 20, 2007 6:25 AM:

" Maybe paying more for water, but can someone explain why suddenly my electric bills are over 100% higher? Even my neighbor who goes to florida for the winter had his go over 100% higher, and he wasn't even home! "

Auburn's water rates wrote on May 20, 2007 1:08 AM:

" are so high because they charge us all for "lost" water which equates to lost earnings, plus, they are not funding reserves adequately for infrastructure maintenance going forward. I don't know how they can even come up with what we should be paying without addressing where all this "lost" water is going first. Yeah, these rates are absurd. "
