Auburn police said they have arrested one man and are looking for two other people in connection with a robbery late Monday night near the intersection of Miller and Owasco streets.
Police said three male suspects approached a pair of pedestrians and demanded money around 11:30 p.m. When the victims said they had little or no money, the suspects punched and kicked them, and took a compact disc player from one of them, police said. Neither victim suffered serious injuries.
Police later recovered the CD player in brush near the scene.
The victims ran and were chased by the suspects, police said. One victim was able to get inside a convenience store and police were contacted.
Police located one suspect, Daniel W. Errico, 20, of 89 Elizabeth St., Auburn, behind 19 Genesee St. He was charged with second-degree robbery.
Police are seeking help to find the other two suspects. One is described as a white male, about 20 years old, 6-feet tall and heavy set with facial acne.
He was wearing white-framed sunglasses, long shorts and a white tank top covered by a light-color button-down shirt, police said.
The other suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, about 5-feet, 6-inches tall with a thin build. He has a thin mustache and facial hair.
Police ask that tips be reported to 253-3225 or 255-4703.
