The owner of a Jordan flooring business has been charged with grand larceny, accused of taking money for jobs he never completed.
Elbridge-based state police arrested Peter D. Haske, 54, of Syracuse, on five felony charges Monday.
Police said Haskins is the owner of Cornerstone Flooring, located at 16 South Main St., Jordan, and that the charges are a result of an investigation into numerous instances where Haske accepted money for flooring contracts and never began the work, purchased materials or provided refunds.
Haske is charged with two counts of third-degree grand larceny; two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny; and one count of first-degree scheme to defraud.
State police in Elbridge are attempting to identify any more potential victims, and request anyone with information to contact them at 689-7127.
