Babe Ruth meeting set for tonight
The Cayuga County Babe Ruth meeting will be at 7 p.m. today at the Cato Town Hall for all coaches and officers.

Teams are reminded to turn in registration fees.

NCAA baseball at Falcon Park

Falcon Park has been announced as a regional site for the NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament with Ithaca College as the host school.

The regional will feature seven teams in a double elimination tournament.

Games will begin Wednesday, May 16 and run through Saturday, May 19 with a rain date of Sunday, May 20.

Tickets may be purchased at the Falcon Park box office and are $3 for the general public and $2 for students or senior citizens. There is no reserved seating for the tournament.

A separate ticket will need to be purchased for each day.

Four games are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday beginning at 10 a.m.

Friday's three games are scheduled to begin at noon and Saturday's championship round is scheduled to begin at noon.

The tournament has been held in Auburn for three consecutive years.

Spots open for youth softball

Limited spots are available for the Auburn Junior Olympic Softball program for two divisions: ages 8-10 and 11-12.

The cost is $40 for all Auburn City District residents and a $45 fee will be charged to non-residents.

USBC members meeting today

The annual membership meeting for the Auburn USBC Bowling Association will be at 7 p.m. today, at the Polish Falcons.

The end-of-season meeting will include bylaw changes and board of director elections.

‘Deuce' race a month from today

The eighth running of “The Deuce,” an annual sanctioned 2-mile run to raise funds for the Frontenac Museum and Historical Society will be held Friday, June 15, at Frontenac Park in Union Springs.

The Open Men/Women, Master Men/Women and High School Boys/Girls race will begin at 7 p.m., followed by the 800-meter run for 13-14-tar-olds at 7:15 p.m. and the 600-meter race for 10-12-year-olds at 7:25 p.m.

The awards ceremony will take place at the Union Springs Village Offices immediately following.

The advance registration fee of $10 adult, $8 children, must be received or postmarked by June 8.

Late registrations will be accepted until the day of the race at $12 for adults, $10 children.
