As our first golf season since 1978 comes to a close in the coming weeks, we would like to take the time to acknowledge and thank everyone involved in the process of starting a golf program. Our sincere appreciation is extended to Port Byron Athletic Director Jim Drancsak, Superintendent Neil O'Brien, all members of the school board, and ultimately the voting public for providing the support and resources needed to add a lifelong activity for the students in Port Byron.

In addition, we cannot emphasize enough that none of this would have been possible without the generosity and cooperation of Cranebrook Golf Club. Owner Dan Soules and General Manager Ken Fasce's willingness to give back to the community (more specifically the student athletes of Port Byron) has made our first year a huge success. The superb conditions of the golf course have been regularly and duly noted by all visiting coaches and players.
