Cortland State will take the top seed into the NCAA Division III Baseball New York Regional, which begins Wednesday at Falcon Park, marking the third consecutive year Auburn has hosted the event.
The other six teams are: Ithaca St. John Fisher, Manhattanville, Trinity (Conn.), Skidmore and Westfield State.
Play begins at 10 a.m., and tickets may be purchased at the Falcon Park box office. Cost is $3 for the general public and $2 for students or senior citizens. There is no reserved seating for the tournament.
The schedule is as follows:
Manhattanville vs. Trinity, 10 a.m.
St. John Fisher vs. Skidmore, 1 p.m.
Ithaca vs. Westfield, 4 p.m.
Cortland vs. Game 1 loser, 7 p.m.
The tournament resumes Thursday with four games on the slate, starting at 10 a.m. Three games are scheduled for Friday beginning at noon, with the championship game set for noon Saturday.
