Andy Wegman pitched a complete game, and the Cato-Meridian baseball team came up with timely hits to seal a 4-1 win over Tully on Wednesday.
Wegman fanned 10 and allowed one earned run and one walk, and even though Cato-Meridian only managed four hits, they clumped them together in the fourth and fifth innings to push runners across the plate - with the help of a pair of sacrifice flies, one each from Pete Marascalchi and Adam Vogel.
Preston Dennison had two hits, and T.K. Hayden had a hit and an RBI.
The Blue Devils (6-4) play at Weedsport today.
Weedsport 11, Faith Heritage 9
Every Warrior but one had a hit. Jordan Stott was 2-for-5 with two runs and two stolen bases, Nick Topichak was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a triple, and Gavin Briggs was 2-for-2 with three runs and an RBI.
Briggs also pitched a complete game, scattering 12 hits, giving up seven earned runs, three strikeouts and no walks.
Kevin Lynch added two RBIs, while Chris Chase and Josh Fatcheric each drove in one run.
Weedsport hosts Cato-Meridian Thursday.
Fabius Pompey 12, Port Byron 7
Matt Janusz hit a three-run homer, Dan Jefferds had three hits and two RBIs, and Tab Carmon had three hits as well to lead the Panthers against the top defense in Central New York.
Mitch David pitched all seven innings with four strikeouts and two walks.
The Panthers (3-10) host Pulaski Monday.
Utica Proctor 3, Auburn 2
Ryan Gleason was thrown out at the plate in the bottom of the seventh as the Maroons lost another one-run game. J.D. LaRue drove in a run on his seventh-inning single before Gleason was tagged out in a close play at home.
Gleason gave Auburn another solid outing, throwing four innings, striking out five, walking three and allowing one earned run. Two errors cost the Maroons two runs in the second.
In relief, Eric Conway was lights out, allowing no hits while striking out three in three innings of work.
At the plate, Auburn was led again by Gleason, who finished with three hits. Brandon DeBagio and Chris Gomez each added a double.
The Maroons (7-5, 4-5) travel to Fayetteville-Manlius today.

Kyle Merrill and Tom Guadagnolo also scored for Jordan-Elbridge. Ken Bush had eight saves in goal.
