Motorcycle accident seriously injures man

A Cato man was seriously injured during a motorcycle accident on Route 370 Sunday.
Charles K. Davenport, 46, of 3702 Allen Road, went off the road on a curve near the Cato-Meridian Central School building at about 9:30 p.m., according to Cayuga County Sheriff's deputies.

Davenport was flown to University Hospital, Syracuse, by Mercy Flight. CIMVAC Ambulance transported Davenport from the scene.

Deputies, who are still investigating the cause of the accident, said Davenport was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. A witness indicated there were no other vehicles in the area where Davenport crashed.
