AUBURN - A $1.15 billion subway car contract awarded to Bombardier Inc. will bring between 50 and 100 jobs to Auburn, a Bombardier spokesman said Wednesday. The 682-car contract, with an option for another 200 cars, was signed with New York City's Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

AUBURN - Motorists who still owe money to the city for outstanding parking tickets have received a reprieve. The city's parking-amnesty program will be extended for another month, said Auburn Corporation Counsel Thomas Leone Jr. People had until Tuesday to pay the parking tickets or face legal action. They'll now have until May 31, Leone said.
