Sign-ups for youth softball this weekend
Registration for the Auburn Junior Olympic Softball program will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 28-29, and May 6, at the Casey Park Arena. A $40 registration fee will be charged to all Auburn City District residents, and a $45 feel will be charged to non-residents.

There will be three divisions: ages 8-10, 11-12, and 13-14.

Union Springs taking soccer registrations

The Union Springs Soccer Club will be holding its annual registration and volunteer drive from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. May 1, at Cayuga Elementary School.

Anyone registering after these dates will be put on a waiting list.

Soap box carburetion day is Sunday

The 2007 edition of the Nucor Bar Mill Central New York All-American Soap Box Derby will be held May 26. Boys and girls ages 8-17 are eligible.

Carburetion Day will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday, April 29.

CCFS hosts Swim Suit Night for DIRT

The Cayuga County Fair Speedway will host Swim Suit Night Sunday, April 29.

Anyone wearing a swim suit to the races, which start at 5 p.m., will receive free admission.

Tickets for adults are $12, seniors $10, children (10-14) $5, under 10 free.

Baseball season begins in Moravia

The Moravia summer legion baseball team will hold registration at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 6, at Ettinger Field in Moravia.

All boys up to age 19 are eligible.

Arsenal soccer to hold registration

The Auburn Arsenal Soccer Club will be holding registration from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, and Thursday, May 10, at Seward School.

There will also be registration Saturday, May 5, at 85 Lake Ave. during the Lake Avenue Garage Sale.

The league is open to all girls who are residents of the Auburn Enlarged School District currently in grades first through sixth.

Dutch Hollow to run Ladies Academy

The Dutch Hollow Ladies Golf Academy will begin May 2. The six-week course is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Dutch Hollow Golf Course.

The class is $40, and covers stance, grip, woods, irons, putting and pitching.
