Teachers' group giving scholarship
The Calista Mussen Scholarship is available to Auburn High School graduates pursuing a career in health care.
Mussen was a career teacher in the district who established a fund in her estate to be administered by the teachers' association.

CCC alumni offer Gettysburg trip
The Auburn/Cayuga Community College Alumni Association is booking seats for a motorcoach trip to Gettysburg leaving Saturday, June 16, and returning Sunday, June 17.
The group will visit the historic Gettysburg battlefield both days, tour several landmarks, the National Museum, National Cemetery and Memory Walk.
Reservations are open to the public; the cost (from $155) includes round-trip transportation, overnight hotel stay, battlefield tours, Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast.

Four Wells students present research
Wells College professor of chemistry Christopher Bailey has escorted Wells students to the annual National Conference for Undergraduate Research for 19 years. NCUR was held April 12 through 14 this year at Dominican University in San Rafael, Calif.
The student presenters for 2007 were: Krystle Bouchard of Shelburne, N.H.; Janel Doyle of Aurora; Kanako Shiogaki of Tokyo, Japan, and Chearnysa Tim of Rochester.
Golladay to speak at commencement
The commencement speaker for the 2007 graduation ceremonies at Cayuga Community College will be the college's former president Dennis Golladay, Ph.D. Commencement will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 20, at the Auburn campus.
As CCC's sixth president, Golladay brought 24 years of experience.
While at CCC, he served on the SUNY Community College Strategic Plan task force and held the posts of president, vice president and secretary for the New York State Association of Presidents of Public Community Colleges.
Upon his departure in 2006, he was honored by the college's Board of Trustees with the title of President Emeritus.
He left CCC to join the State University of New York administration in Albany.
In his new post as SUNY vice chancellor for community colleges, Golladay manages relations with the 30 SUNY community colleges and provides liaison to the SUNY Board of Trustees and the State University Construction Fund.
