Freshman Eric Hlywa was the medalist of the day, shooting a 41 for the Union Springs golf team as the Wolves easily defeated Spencer Van Etten 218-266 on Thursday.
In just their fifth match of the season, the Wolves qualified for the Section IV, Class C tournament at Maple Hills Golf Course in Marathon on May 21.
Matt Cuff shot a 42 to come in second for the Wolves. Chris Shrimpton carded a 43, Michael Bean had a 45 and Tim Morabito rounded out the team score with a 47.
