Cheerleading tryouts begin in May
Tryouts for the 2007-08 CNY Storm All-Stars will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. May 14-16. All area cheerleaders and gymnasts are welcome to attend.
There are teams for all ages and ability levels and everyone is placed on a team. Information about tryouts and the CNY Storm all-star program are available at www.cnystorm.com or by calling the program director, Kathy Penree at 866-0225 or cnycheer@hotmail.com.
Youth soccer sign-ups start this weekend
The Union Springs Soccer Club will be holding its annual registration and volunteer drive from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 27, at A.J. Smith Elementary School and from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. May 1, at Cayuga Elementary School.
Anyone registering after these dates will be put on a waiting list.

Kids Sandlot Baseball is looking for umpires for the upcoming season.

The Southern Cayuga Soccer Club summer registration will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 28, at the Southern Cayuga High School cafeteria. The form is available on the school's Web site, www.southerncayuga.org/athletics, in the March edition of the Rambling Reporter, or at various public establishments.
There is also a volunteer section at the bottom of the form for those interested in assisting. Those interested in coaching should be at the registration session.

Pancake breakfast benefits softball
There will be a pancake breakfast to benefit the Auburn High School softball team from 8 to 10 a.m. Sunday, April 29, at Applebee's. Tickets, which are $5, must be pre-purchased.

Golf academy begins at Dutch Hollow
The Dutch Hollow Ladies Golf Academy will begin May 2. The six-week course is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Dutch Hollow Golf Course. The class is $40, and covers stance, grip, woods, irons, putting and pitching.

AHS Hall of Fame seeks nominations
The Auburn High School Hall of Fame is now accepting nominations. Forms can be picked up at the Auburn YMCA, Lewis Restaurant, or the Auburn athletic office on Thornton Avenue.
All candidates for the AHS Hall of Fame must be nominated by someone else, and once nominated that person will remain on the ballot. Nominations must be received by June 30.
The banquet will be Nov. 3 at Springside Inn.
