To the irresponsible drivers on the road, especially when driving around Owasco Lake, please pay attention to the road. To the driver on Monday morning that didn't want to stop or try to slow down for the poor duck crossing Owasco Road, don't worry the guy driving in front of me in the other lane hit and killed it for you - I hope you are happy that my kids had to witness that!
The excessive demands of unions have ruined the American automobile industry.
Why would the new city manager ever consider buying a house in Auburn. First of all, he's not going to be here that long and secondly, when he leaves he will probably never be able to sell it for what he bought it for anyway. It's a losing proposition.
I've got a good idea. Why doesn't the city manager try to find a house on Orchard Street; that'll never happen.
That mess on the corner of Holley and Lansing Street, has been there so long. Isn't there a time limit on when they have to have it cleaned up.
What about Councilor Dave Dempsey living outside the city for 18 months or more. We're looking at the city manager who was just appointed, but Councilor Dempsey was already a councilperson who resided for 18 months outside the city.
Chou did the actual killing at Virginia Tech but America's lawyers made it all possible with all the threats of lawsuits on the universities, personnel, police and medical people by ACLU and others. It is no wonder this happened.
I, a woman, am jumping for joy that such a violent and horrendous abortion procedure is no longer legal. Abortion harms women physically and emotionally, and it takes away the rights of fathers.
With the passing of Dennis McNabb, we've lost another one of our heroes. Dennis served God and his country and he raised a great family.
Now that Fred Thompson's lymphoma is in remission and he will make it known, he will easily beat Rudy, John McCain, Newt Gingrich and Chuck Hagel and I will vote for him in the presidential elections.
Why don't people wait until John Walsh Boulevard is finished before they start complaining?
Inmate to guards ratio, 3 to 1; they really should take phones out of bars. I worked out there 31 1/2 years and 30 or 50 to 1 was acceptable.
President Bush has made a comment concerning Supreme Court partial birth abortion ruling: He said that protecting human dignity and upholding the sanctity of human life is a step toward the right decision. I wonder if he would make the same comment about aborting the war in Iraq.
Temporary public assistance is about helping you find a job, and getting back self-sufficiency. But if you can't pass a drug test, you shouldn't be given any taxpayer money until you can.
Japan's politicians have passed laws that prevent any citizen from having any kind of firearms. This total control of the people did not keep Mayor Iccho Ito of Nagasaki from being shot.
Your online NP is getting much better but there is no reason you can't get the obits in the paper in the morning. All other papers do it.
It's really nice to know that our top lawyers on the Supreme Court are also great physicians, because they know more about the wants and physical desires about women than the women do themselves. Bush needs to name more men of that caliber.
Corporate control, with available technological advances in communication, is in a position to replace our archaic public school system. The problem lies with the cowardice of the politicians who will have to face the powerful national teachers' union.
George Bush's Supreme Court appointees have helped uphold the ban on partial birth abortion. Finally, something really good has come from the Bush administration.
Education is teaching a child how to talk - and then how to keep quiet.
The Two Center who said the decision to abort is between her, him and God, forgets the pure innocent baby who is murdered. The same decision to murder an infant because it affects their mental or physical health will result in arrest and incarceration.
I wish The Citizen would have a police page of everyone arrested and convicted of crime. And not only their names, but put in a picture of that person so they really feel ashamed for what they did.
Since East Genesee Street is going to be totally revamped, the sewer and water system I am told is nearly 100 years old. What is the explanation from the city, I would like to see stated in the paper, why this is not replaced at this time.
