D-days Wall of Fame accepting votes
Online voting has now begun for the Doubledays Wall of Fame.
Fans can log on to www.auburndoubledays.com and vote for this year's newest member.
This year's nominees include Tug McGraw, Rick Dempsey, Billy Wagner and Jerry Koosman.
McGraw was a member of the Auburn Mets in 1964 before bringing his famous screwball to the Major Leagues.
The colorful Rick Dempsey was an Auburn was an Auburn Twin in 1968 and went on to play 24 seasons in the pros while also winning the 1983 World Series MVP award.
Four-time All-Star Billy Wagner played with the Auburn Astros in 1993 and is currently the closer for the New York Mets.
Jerry Koosman was an Auburn Met in 1966 before becoming an All-Star with the big league Mets in 1968.
Voting will continue for the player category until the end of April. At that point, voting for the contributor category will begin.
The Doubledays Wall of Fame inductee will be announced at the Doubleday FanFest on June 2.
Cato Rec Center offering bike ride
The Cato-Meridian Community Recreation Center is offering an Erie Canal bike ride on April 28. The 16-mile ride will start at Jorolemon Road and go to Port Byron and back.
Pre-registration is due by April 21. For more information, call 626-6735.

The Southern Cayuga Soccer Club summer registration will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 28, at the Southern Cayuga High School cafeteria.
The form is available on the school's Web site, www.southerncayuga.org/athletics, in the March edition of the Rambling Reporter, or at various public establishments.
There is also a volunteer section at the bottom of the form for those interested in assisting.
Those interested in coaching should be at the registration session.
