David N. Donch had never written a book before late 2005. His last literary endeavor - a thriller written at the age of 10 - ended in embarrassment when his mother discovered the project.

But David became an author when he wanted to tell the story of his autistic son, Nathaniel, and his dreams of glory on the baseball diamond.
