Next week perfect time to get passports
Cayuga County Clerk Sue Dwyer is reminding parents who will be taking their family on trips outside the United States in the future that next week, when many area students are on school vacation, is the perfect time for families to come into the County Clerks office to apply for passports. Currently it can take as long as 10 weeks to receive passports.

Both parents need to accompany children younger than 14. Only one parent is needed for children 14 to 17.

For more information about necessary documents, call the County Clerks office at 253-1271. The office is located at 160 Genesee St. in Auburn and open from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Cayuga County residents ages 5 to 19 can become Red Cross Youth Club members now for training and college credit later.

For more information, contact the county Red Cross chapter at 252-9596 or chapter@ccredcross.org.
