Classic and new rock band Rocket Boyz have been together for 16 years and not only do they love to rock, but they love to work a crowd. With a show that features fog and multi-colored lights, the four friends are always hoping to launch a crowd.

Besides its visual antics, the band has a good sound company and relies on its steaming hot Fenders for its electric sound.

“It's definitely a show,” said bass player Gary Rocket of the band's production.

In addition to Gary, the band is composed of lead singer Frankie D'bull, drummer Vic McCue and lead guitarist Russ Rocket.

Gary should know a good production, since he learned how to play bass entirely by ear, never experiencing a lesson in his life.

“Either it's in your heart or it's not. It's all in our hearts or we wouldn't be together for 16 years,” Gary said.

The Rocket Boyz play all over central New York, including Jordan, Baldwinsville, Oswego, Utica and Sylvan Beach. Gary said the band plays all sorts of rock including classic rock, new rock, metal and '80s rock. Rocket Boyz cover hits by AC/DC, Stone Temple Pilots, Billy Idol, Jet, Lit, Bon Jovi, Kiss, Black Sabbath, Van Halen, Guns ‘n' Roses, Blue Oyster Cult, Collective Soul, Motley Crue, Godsmack and many more.

The Boyz have shared local stages with many rock bands including Frostbit Blue and One Hard Krank.
