Listening to the melody of an organ or chorus reverberate against the ribs of a cathedral ceiling is enough to make anyone appreciate the finer points of elegant architectural design.
The Community Preservation Committee, with its presentation of “Architecture 101,” intends to highlight the basics of architecture as part of its “Tea & Architecture” series at Willard Memorial Chapel.

Presenter Margaret Mosher, according to a press release, will showcase and identify architectural styles in our area ranging from Federal, Greek Revival, Gothic Revival, Queen Anne and many others.

Mosher was a charter member of CPC and was involved in the first Historic Homes Tour. She has had a lifelong interest in architecture, which stems from her early New England upbringing.

The discussion will also include handouts on various styles of architecture.

The seminar will be followed by a Russian Tea which participants are encouraged to stay for. Russian apparel will also be on display courtesy of Maxine Alberici.
