A King Ferry woman who crashed into a parked car in Auburn in January was charged by the Auburn Police Department Wednesday with two felony counts of driving while intoxicated.
Shannon L. Nobles, 23, of 986 Indian Field Road, Genoa, was charged with the felony of driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol count greater than .08 and the felony of second-degree operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
According to police, Nobles crashed into a car parked on Genesee Street around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23. She was airlifted to University Hospital in Syracuse because of head injuries.
Accident witness Laurie Schillawski, of 239 Genesee St., Auburn said she saw the westbound vehicle zipping down the road, hit the parked car owned by Eric Wilkinson, of 272 Genesee St., and spin out of control in the middle of the road.
The DWI charge was raised to a felony level because Nobles had a prior misdemeanor DWI conviction in January 2006, police said.
The filing of the charges were delayed until a blood workup of Nobles' blood alcohol count came back, police said.
