Several Auburn hockey players participated in the Snowbelt Hockey Association exhibition games in Rome. With the regular season over, the exhibition games take place after coaches nominate players from their teams to join former opponents from throughout the league in an east vs. west matchup.
Representing Auburn on the squirt team, Hunter Charles scored two goals for the East, and Michael Currier played solid defense for the West in a 7-7 tie.
At the pee wee level, Cole Bowen played for the East, and Mitchell Dec played for the West. Both played forward in the East's 8-5 win.
The midgets sent seven players, who combined to score six goals and seven assists, but their East team fell, 12-8. Dustin Lefave had four goals and an assist, Joe McQueeney had a goal and two assists, Jonathan Poweski had two goals, Bryant Badman had a goal and an assist, Mike Evans had an assist, and Ryan Cole played a solid game on defense.
