Spaghetti dinner to benefit Guard unit
A spaghetti dinner to benefit the Auburn National Guard Unit 222 MP currently serving in Iraq will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at the Auburn VFW on Genesee Street. Dinner will include a salad, a roll, spaghetti and meatballs and a brownie.
Tickets go on sale from Thursday, March 1, through Saturday, March 24, for $5; children under 3 are free. Take outs will be available. Also featured is a 50/50 raffle. Tickets for the raffle are $1. To learn more, call 253-7202.

The Ancient Order of Hibernians will be serving fish dinners from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Fridays, March 2, 9, 23 and 30, at 73 Van Anden St., Auburn. Dinners include fish, fries, coleslaw, a choice of macaroni salad or macaroni and cheese and a dessert. Dinners are $7.50.

The dinner includes corned beef, potatoes, carrots, cabbage, onions, rolls, pickles, homemade pie, coffee and tea. Cost is $7.50 for adults and $3.75 for children 10 and under; children under 5 are free.
