Auburn man pleads to trespass charge
An Auburn man pleaded guilty in Auburn City Court Tuesday, Feb. 13, to taking a door off the hinges on a room inside an Arlington Avenue, Auburn, residence earlier this month.
Christopher B. Titus, 22, of Apt. 4, 2 Franklin St., was sentenced to 60 days in Cayuga County Jail for the misdemeanor crime of second-degree criminal trespass. Titus' plea satisfied a felony burglary charge and a misdemeanor petit larceny charge.
Police said he stole a $800 gold necklace from inside the room.
Inmate charged with forcible touching
A state prisoner was charged last month by the New York State Police in Auburn with allegedly forcibly touching the crotch of a female correction officer.
Kevin Holloway, 33, currently held in Five Points Correctional Facility, Seneca County, was charged with the misdemeanor of forcible touching.
According to the state police, Holloway reached between the legs of the officer and grabbed her as he and other inmates were returning to their cells in Auburn Correctional Facility's A-block from breakfast. The incident allegedly happened last summer.
Holloway is currently serving 10 to 21 years for the felony convictions of second-degree manslaughter and two counts of first-degree attempted promotion of prison contraband. He is due in Auburn City Court April 4.
