Old Timers tourney results are in
The Old Timers' Tournament, which benefits the American Heart Association, had its 30th annual event recently at Starlite Lanes.
Women and men bowled in three age categories. Sharon Mills (549) and John Rovelli (618) won the 50-59 division; Linda Hitchcock (540) and Roger Jorgenson (634) were victorious for those 60-69, while Freda Benham and George Mills (572) captured the 70-and-over titles.
Relfe successful at women's tourney
The Annual Women's Tournament concluded this weekend, and Kim Relfe emerged with the top score in all events with 1,928. Kathy Pipher had the top scratch score for all events with 1,765.
Relfe was followed by Donna O'Hora (1,903), Cindy Bodner (1,885), Cindy Dennis (1,850) and Denise Spafford (1,817).
In singles, Bodner was the leader with a 683 series, followed by Relfe (675), O'Hora (667), Patricia Wright (653), Dennis (644), Pipher (639), Stephanie Weaver (629), Charlotte Locastro (622), Stephanie Siracusa (622), Ann Fenton (617), Billie Jo Kolp(613) and Spafford (610).
In doubles, Bodner-Pipher won with 1,290 followed by Ashby-Gardner (1,285), Relfe-Blowers (1,237), Weaver-Wheaton (1,233), Baird-Williams (1,229), Rooker Locastro (1,208).
Championships begin Feb. 24
The 72nd annual Auburn United States Bowling Congress Men's Championships start at Rainbow Lanes with the team event. Available squads are: Feb. 24-25 (10 a.m., 2 p.m.), Feb. 26 and 28 (6:30 p.m.), March 1 (6:30 p.m., which is also a proprietors' squad) and March 2 (9:30 p.m., in which a bowling ball will be given out).
For doubles and singles at King Ferry Lanes, squads are: March 3-4 (10 a.m., 2:30 p.m.), March 9 (6:30 p.m.) and March 10-11 (10 a.m., 2:30 p.m.). Entry forms are at all area bowling centers. The team event costs $100, doubles and singles is $80, while all-events costs $10.

Meeting to take place March 11
There will be an annual meeting of the Auburn USBC WBA at 1 p.m. March 11, at Polish Falcons. ALl members are encouraged to attend.
The money for the winners from the annual tournament will be distributed at that time. The complete results from the tournament will be distributed to league secretaries and will be available on the Web site.
During this meeting, the membership will also be voting on board positions. The following positions are up for vote: vice president, sergeant at arms, and three directors.
