A 19-year-old -- convicted in 2005 of firebombing an unmarked police car and who allegedly led police on a chase in Camillus following a domestic incident with a sibling in January -- was arrested Wednesday by the Auburn Police Department on charges related to an alleged domestic incident with an estranged boyfriend in November.
In the alleged November incident at a South Fulton Street, Auburn, residence, Charles J. Allen, 19, of 2465 Dublin Road, Fleming, is accused of confronting another male over their relationship ending, holding a knife to the throat of the victim, striking the victim, smashing a computer, damaging a television and breaking glass in a door, according to police.

Allen was charged with the misdemeanors of fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and the violation charge of second-degree harassment. The incident ended after Allen's guardian arrived and intervened, police said.

APD Det. Jeffery Mead said that Allen melted down during an interview in December over the alleged November domestic, saying that he would never be arrested again. "He went into a tirade," Mead said.

On Jan. 17, authorities say that Allen tried to resist authorities by fleeing a domestic incident with a sibling at his Fleming residence.

City police said after leaving home, Allen rammed a car in the Grant Avenue Wal-Mart parking lot and then proceeded into Onondaga County. Camillus police observed him and attempted to stop him, police said.

During the chase, Allen drove back to Tessy Plastics in Elbridge where he abandoned his vehicle, according to Cayuga County Sheriff Detective Sgt. Joseph Weeks. Allen bailed out of the car, dashed into the woods behind the plant and crossed a creek, Weeks said.
