Heart focus
There is somewhat of a paradox in February being American Heart Month. The month with the least days has been devoted to the disease that causes the most deaths among adults in America.
As Americans cast their attention toward the risk factors for cardiovascular disease this February, they have a chance to evaluate the role their lifestyles play in either welcoming or warding off its often fatal onset.
“They must take action against bad heart health today; don't ever think tomorrow is the right day,” said Dr. Rama M. Godishala, who specializes in cardiovascular health at Auburn Cardiology and Pulmonary Associates on 281 Grant Ave., Auburn.
