St. Mary's II tops St. Francis in CYO

Chris Watros dropped 20 points, Josh Sturm scored 14 more, and St. Mary's II beat Sacred Heart 57-47 in a seventh- and eighth-grade CYO basketball game this weekend.
Brian Roe scored 18 points for Sacred Heart, and Nick Fiermonte added 11.

St. Francis 52,

St. Mary's II 39

Dylan Powers scored 26 points for St. Francis, and Phil Cooper added 10 in the win.

Matt Covich scored 11 points for St. Mary's II, and Joe Wilson had nine.

FIFTH/SIXTH GRADE CYO

St. Hyacinth 23,

Sacred Heart II 13

Alex Dubovici scored 10 points in the win, and Chris Blay chipped in with eight.

Tyler Schmid led Sacred Heart with five points.

Sacred Heart I 31,

St. Francis 16

Ryan Ringwood scored 16 points to lead Sacred Heart, and Katie Ambrose added six.

For St. Francis, Matt Faiola scored eight points, and Nick Camardo added four.

St Alphonsus I def. St. Mary's

Justin Fasce scored 12 points for St. Alphonsus, Ryan McCormick added eight, and T.J. Sochan chipped in with five.

For St. Mary's, Jacob Charles scored four points.

Holy Family 33,

St. Alphonsus II 31

Matt Nolan led Holy Family with 19 points, and Brandon Redmon scored six.

Matt Netti scored 21 points for St. Alphonsus, and Will Page added eight.

CYO INSTRUCTIONAL

St. Alphonsus I 28,

St. Alphonsus III 18

Trevor Hogan scored 10 points in the win.

Scotty Minnoe scored 12 for St. Alphonsus III.

Holy Family 24,

St. Alphonsus II 14

Kevin Dicola led all scoring with 18 points for Holy Family.

Cohle Dragone scored six points for St. Alphonsus.

St. Hyacinth 11, St. Francis 6

Kevin Deyo led the scoring with five points.

Alex Casper, Daniel Clark and Mia Locaiono each had two points for St. Francis.

St. Peter & Paul 15,

St. Francis II 8

Hailey Pyenach and Dave Baim each scored four points for St. Peter & Paul.

For St. Francis, Grace Fallon and Alex Fallon had four points apiece.

Sacred Heart 17, St. Mary's 7

Jack Burgmaster scored 11 points for Sacred Heart, and Hunter Haff led St. Mary's with four points.

FIFTH/SIXTH GRADE GIRLS CCYO

Auburn 32, Weedsport 9

Maggie Doyle led Auburn with eight points, and Annie Giannone and Meghan Pinker each added six in the win.

Kaitlyn O'Connel scored four points for Weedsport, and Marisa Thomas added three.

Weedsport 27, Auburn 20

Elizabeth Chirco scored 12 points for Weedsport, and Cassie Weeks chipped in with 11.

Hailey Swartwood scored six points for Auburn, and Makayla Hirsh added four.

FIFTH GRADE BOYS CCYO

Auburn 45, Weedsport 10

Mike Charles led Auburn with 16 points, and Kevin Gauthier contributed 14 points.

Josh Armstrong scored six points for Weedsport.

Auburn 30, Weedsport 7

Mike Carberry and Eric Sapps each scored six points for Auburn.

Austin McDeid scored three for Weedsport.

SIXTH GRADE BOYS CCYO

Auburn Holiday Inn 29, Southern Cayuga 10

Chris Courtney led Auburn with 15 points, and Richie Granato and Justin Middleton each scored four points. Luke Boddicker and Rob Relfe played well on defense.
