Moore says relationship was a ‘surprise'
Demi Moore was as surprised as a lot of other people when she began dating Ashton Kutcher more than three years ago.

“If somebody would have said, ‘OK, here is the prediction: You're going to meet a man 25 years old and he's going to see being with you and having your three kids as a bonus,' I would have said, ‘Keep dreaming,”' the 44-year-old actress says in an interview in Vanity Fair magazine's February issue, on newsstands Jan. 9.

“I think it caught us both by surprise, and particularly him,” Moore says of Kutcher, who is now 28. “He was in this real rise of his career just as we met, which for a young man is prime opportunity for heavy-duty play.”

The couple were married in September 2005. Moore, whose screen credits include “Bobby,” “Ghost” and “Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle,” has three daughters from her marriage to Bruce Willis, which ended in 2000.

Will Ferrell becomes a daddy for the second time

It's a boy, again, for Will Ferrell and his wife, the actor's publicist said Tuesday.

Mattias Ferrell was born just after 2 a.m. on Dec. 30, said Matt Labov. Ferrell, 39, and Viveca Paulin were married in 2000. They have a 2-year-old son, Magnus.

Simon to perform with her children Friday

Nobody does it better than Carly Simon. That's what QVC officials are hoping when the singer promotes her new CD, “Into White,” on Friday.

Simon, 61, will perform with her children, Ben and Sally Taylor - from her marriage to James Taylor - during a 30-minute broadcast on the cable home shopping channel, a subsidiary of Liberty Media Corp. The broadcast begins at 7 p.m.

Moss denies reports of marriage to Doherty

A spokesman for Kate Moss denied Tuesday reports the supermodel and rocker Pete Doherty had tied the knot during a candlelit Buddhist ceremony in Thailand on New Year's Day.

Stuart Higgins said Moss, 32, was vacationing in Thailand, but hadn't married Doherty, frontman for Babyshambles.

“There has not been any kind of marriage ceremony in Thailand. She is on holiday,” Higgins said.

British newspapers reported that Moss and Doherty had held the ceremony in the Thai resort of Phuket. Neither the Sun nor the Daily Mirror provided sources for the information. The Mirror quoted an unnamed friend of Moss as saying the ceremony was an expression of the couple's mutual devotion.

Higgins called the reports “entirely false.”
