Passes available for wine trail tours
Season's passes for all five Cayuga Wine Trail events for this year are available for a 25 percent discount online at cayugawinetrail.com. Single and couple tickets and gift certificates are also for sale. Prices for single tickets are $78, and couple tickets are $130. Tickets can also be purchased at any Wegmans store.
When purchasing tickets, buyers must indicate which weekend they want to attend for the Wine & Herb event either April 28 and 29 or May 5 and 6. And if you wish to purchase Grapehound Wine Tour tickets, add an additional $20 per person to the already reduced fee.
Jordan church holds smorgasbord
A smorgasbord dinner will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, at the First Baptist Church of Jordan on 30 Clinton Road. The menu will include meatballs, beef gravy, noodles, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, scalloped corn, scalloped potatoes and ham, wings, fruit Jell-O, salads, breads and desserts.
Cost is $7 for adults, $4 for children 6-12, and free for children 5 and younger.

St. Mary's offers potluck supper
Separated, divorced and widowed persons are invited to a potluck supper being held Friday, Jan. 12, at St. Mary's Church on 17 Clark St. in Auburn. Visitors will have a chance to get acquainted at 6:30 p.m., followed by the supper at 7 p.m. Bring a dish to share, and a “white elephant. ” A bingo game will follow the dinner.

Youth group serves spaghetti dinner
The SS. Peter and John youth group's next all-you-can-eat spaghetti supper will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at the church, 169 Genesee St. The youth group students have been holding a dinner the fourth Wednesday of each month from September through June.
The money raised will be used to send the youth group members on a mission trip next summer.

Amateur Chef's Night is in February
Plans are under way for the ninth annual Amateur Chefs' Night to be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, at Sacred Heart Parish Hall on 90 Melrose Road in Auburn.
Many local amateur chefs will return to display their culinary skills at what has become one of the most popular Auburn wintertime events. Chairperson Maxine Alberci has also arranged for several new faces to be among the more than 60 enthusiastic cooks.
In addition, Robert Wojnar, local wine expert and vice president of Dr. Konstantin Frank's Vinifera Wine Cellars, will be pouring wines donated by Dr. Frank's. A silent auction will also be part of the evening's entertainment.
Tickets are $35 per person and are now available by calling the Willard Chapel at 252-0339, which is the beneficiary of the event. Sales are limited to 200 people.
