Robbery defendants plead not guilty

Three teenagers entered not guilty pleas in Cayuga County Court today to numerous felony charges related to allegations the trio twice tried to rob an Auburn man Aug. 31 of money, including threatening him with what looked like a handgun.

Joseph Kowal, 19, with a last known address of 5555 West Lake Road, Auburn, and Corey Wooldridge, 17, with a last known address of 17 Washington St., Auburn, are both being held in Cayuga County Jail. Kowal's bail was maintained at $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond. Wooldrige's bail was reduced to $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond from $15,000 cash or $30,000 bond.

Ryan Martinez, 18, with a last known address of 88 Rochester St., Port Byron, is out on bail set at $1,000 cash or $2,000 bond.
