Comedians Al Ducharme and Bernadette Pauley will take over the Auburn Public Theater this weekend.
Besides multiple commercials, Ducharme's voice has graced television voice-overs, radio spots and animated CD-ROM software.
Pauley's no stranger to television either.
She worked with Ducharme when she was “Gadget Girl” on the combination comedy and cooking show he co-hosted.
Pauley also regularly appeared on the Comedy Central program “Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn.”
But she'll have no problem fitting in on the Auburn Public Theater stage. She has a theater background, which includes university training and dozens of off-Broadway plays. She also joined Spilt Milk, an improvisational group.
Her act showcases a mix of social commentary and goofy characters.
Ducharme hosted a season of the Home and Garden Television program “Mission: Organization.” A number of television commercials showcase Ducharme, such as spots for “Heineken Beer, Papa Gino's, Ford Motor Co. and GTE.
He also works on the big screen, with roles in “Next
Stop Wonderland” and “Original Sin.”
Like Pauley, he uses observational humor throughout his stand-up routine. Ducharme combines comical characters in bizarre situations.
Often, he accompanies his act with sound effects.
The duo often hits the rounds of comedy clubs and colleges across the country.
Ducharme also has performed for private companies during corporate events.
Pauley's frequent television appearances are not the only time she is in front of cameras.
She appeared in VH-1's “How to be a Hilton,” MTV's “Not a Good Look” and hosted Burly TV on TBS.
Pauley also lends her voice to the Sirius Satelite's Raw Dog Comedy radio program “Four Quotas.”
Ducharme has hosted programs such as “The Dating Game” and “Liars Club.”
