I'm glad that someone else noticed the street lamps along Genesee Street were installed incorrectly. They should be placed perpendicular to the road so you can see both of the lamps as you drive along Genesee Street.
Teens need to get it through their heads that they are obligated to attend weekly Mass when they make their Confirmation. If you don't want to go, then don't get confirmed.

Let's not only think about 9/11, let's think about 12/7 - Pearl Harbor Day. We must never forget.

On the cable here, Time Warner: Why can't we have channel 33 on, after all it is a weather channel. It would be nice to get the weather.

I am sick of all the negative comments about Auburn Memorial Hospital - did you ever stop and think that they may have updated the cafeteria for the pleasure of the employees and visitors. The plasma TV is a diversion for the employees so they can relax during their 30-minute lunch break, which is a New York state requirement; or if you are a family member, it may take your mind off your worries for a short time.

It shouldn't matter who any councilman or the mayor wants for corporation counsel; Mike Long has an obligation as acting city manager to pick the best person to serve the public and taxpayers.

" The "Lansing Street Cafe" looks great at Auburn Memorial Hospital. It is about time something was done to update it. Workers should just be glad that they have a job and now somewhere nice to relax instead of the dirty blue cafe. If you think positively maybe things will turn up better. what would you do if there was no AMH and your family need help asap. you would be complaining that there wasn't anywhere close to go. Appreciate what you have because it could go! "

" Time Warner Cable is the worst thing that has happened to our cable tv system, ever. Have you seen the latest list of channels they are going to take away from us? Take a look at channel 4 or 11, they're listed there. Then they will probably want a rate increase next month!! I'm going to a satellite dish, more channels, and it's cheaper. My brother has one and he loves it, and he used to have Time Warner. "

" With in a couple of months after taking over Time Warner took away the NFL Network and ESPNU. Now if you watch channel 4 or 11 ( why do we need to stations that show the same exact thing?) anyway, you watch the top of the page and let it cycle around it now says..... We might lose 7 & 8 add to that maybe GAC, Spike, all Encore movie stations, HGTV and TMC. Looking back now Adelphia was miles ahead of TW. "

" No Fox channel? You should consider yourself lucky. Fox is nothing more than a propaganda tool for the right wing nutbags, and is hardly a reliable source for news. I will agree that TW is horrible, I have their internet service and so far its worse than Adelphia. "

" No FOX and now no Weather channel? I'm moving back to Syracuse, they have both there. "

" To the letter writer and others jealous of the White House Christmas decorations and Mrs. Bush's plans for Christmas dinner, your comments have litle to do with helping the less fortunate. There's a serious Commandment being broken here: Thou shall not covet. "

" The Weather Channel is not always the best. The only local weather you get is actually from the National Weather Service, which is free to see at Weather.gov. They give a very good forecast, without the overhype of the television stations. "

" Why did Auburn Highschool spend and waste so much money on Powerschool, the new program that never worked? As a student, I believe an investment in turf for the football team would have been a better idea. "
