Falcon monthly meeting tonight
The Falcon Sportsmen Club will have its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. tonight at the clubhouse located at 2947 Turnpike Rd.

It is the annual membership appreciation night.

Auburn posters and stickers available

Now available at the Auburn School District Athletic Office at 78 Thornton Ave is a 16 x 20 composite poster with highlight pictures from the NYS Class AA Football game.

The cost for each poster is $20.

Also available are two bumper stickers, one reading Section III Football Champions and the other reading NYSPHSAA Class AA State Football Champions.

The cost is $3 each or $5 for both.

The state champions bumper stickers are also available at Lewis Restaurant and Balloons Restaurant.

LeMoyne to host softball clinic

LeMoyne College is hosting softball clinics from 9 a.m. to noon Sundays, Dec. 3 and 17, Jan. 7, 14, 21 and 28, and Feb. 11, at the LeMoyne Athletic and Recreation Building.

The cost is $12 per week and is for girls 10 and up.

The clinic offers instruction in pitching, catching, hitting, fielding and base running by the LeMoyne coaching staff and current and former players.

Bass Pro ice derby set for Feb. 24

Bass Pro Shops annual ice derby will be from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at Owasco Lake.

Participants can register at Bass Pro Shops Sportsman's Center until Friday, Feb. 23, or at the Cascade Grill and the Auburn Express Mart.

The event is open to all licensed adults and children. Anglers must register before fishing. There will be one prize per person per division.

The fee is $10 for adults and $5 for children 13 and under.

Sport bowling to start at Starlite Lanes

Starlite Lanes hopes to start a 10- or 12-week Sport Bowling league at 7 p.m. Thursday nights beginning Dec. 7. The goal is 16 two-man teams.

Smokey#'s Restaurant will sponsor the league.

Sport Bowling, an optional membership level of the United States Bowling Congress, emphasizes the importance of delivering the ball accurately and consistently, making adjustments in technique, adjusting to the way lane oil patterns change and converting spares.
