Clarke, Wilcox, tops in 700 club
Bob Clarke and Todd Wilcox combined to roll 1,406 to win Division A of the Auburn 700 Club Doubles Tournament Sunday at Starlite Lanes.
Clarke fired 746 while Wilcox added 660 in the division, which was for teams averaging 433 and over. The duo earned $120.
Gary Feldman Jr. (733) and Mike Feldman (640) placed second with 1,373 to win $80, Jeff Lumb (715) and Darrin Emperato (640) finished third with 1,355 to collect $70, while Bill Sidor (687) and Bill Kuszaj (665) took fourth with 1,352 to take home $60.
In Division B, for teams averaging 432 and below, John Ashby (707) and James Greenwood (644) finished first with 1,351 to earn $120.
Jeff Shutter (668) and Brandon Slayton (633) were second with 1,301 to win $80, Harold Frisbee (706) and Jay Clark (567) placed third with 1,273 to earn $70, while Carl Harvey (685) and Dave Harvey (580) came in fourth with 1,265 to collect $60.
Mike Ryan (767) had high series for the day, while Lumb fired a 298 single game. Jeff Matty (709), Brian Storrs (706) and Jeremy Macri (702) rounded out the top individual scorers.
The Auburn United States Bowling Congress Association has re-established its 700 Club, and newly elected officers for the 2006-07 season are: Dennis O#'Donnell (Pin Buoy), Matty (King Pin), Mike Sheehan (Prince Pin) and Storrs (Guardia La Pin).
The Syracuse vs. Auburn Challenge is the next event.
It will be contested at noon Sunday, Nov. 26, at Thunderbird Lanes in Baldwinsville. The cost is $28, including dinner after bowling.

Rainbow Lanes hosting event
Rainbow Lanes will host a mother-daughter tournament at 2 p.m., Sunday Dec. 3.
The event is open to women of all ages and there will be a buffet and gifts.
