Congratulations, Valesky; thank you, supporters

Congratulations to Senator David Valesky on his winning campaign. Suffice it to say, he is a formidable candidate who won a tough fought campaign.

I wish to thank all of your readers who were so supportive of my candidacy over the past several months. Although the outcome was not what we wanted, we nevertheless can be proud that we gave the voters of the 49th Senate district a legitimate choice of candidates. In doing so, we played a vital role in our democratic process, and our state and country are better for it.

I encourage everyone who supported my campaign to continue using their energy in the political process, as we depend upon these good public-minded people to keep our country great.
