The Auburn USBC Bowling Association will be having its annual Hall of Fame and Awards banquet at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at the Sunset Restaurant. The cost is $20.

The inductees include Peter Bommersbach and Steve Spinney in the Outstanding Bowler category, John Salvatore in the Outstanding Veteran category, and Gary Wager in the Distinguished Service category.

There will also be seasonal awards given out that night, which include high average, high series, most improved, and bowler of the year, as well as a meritorious service award.

The female inductees will include Mary Eastman for Superior Achievement, Agnes Smart for Meritorious Service, Nancy Jean Barski for Meritorious Service and Ruth Kubat for Veteran Bowler.

Mixed Doubles

tourney returns

The second annual Auburn Mixed Doubles Tournament will be held Sunday, Nov. 5, at Starlite Lanes.

The event is USBC certified and is 100 percent handicap. There will be three divisions: mixed doubles, singles, and blind draw. The singles and blind draw are optional.

The cost is $15 per person for mixed doubles, and $5 per event in the other two categories.

First 700 tourney set for Nov. 12

The first 700 tournament has been scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, at Starlite Lanes. This will be the annual doubles event, which can be member/member or member/guest. Any bowler who has bowled a sanctioned 700 series is eligible, but a guest does not need to have bowled a 700 series to compete.

There will be two divisions based on averages. Check in is at 12:30 p.m. The cost is $20 per bowler.
