Leadership Cayuga teaches appreciation for county

Thursday, November 9, 2006 9:48 AM EST

When invited to participate in Leadership Cayuga, I could foresee that a great deal of effort and time on my part would be required to complete the program. The insight and appreciation into Cayuga County that I have gained has overwhelmingly outweighed the time and work involved.
Leadership Cayuga has revealed Cayuga County history, economics, government and social issues. On a more personal level, I have learned about myself, group dynamics, leadership styles and been provided an opportunity to meet and network with a diverse, talented pool of people.

I would highly recommend to employers, government officials and individuals looking for a community-based training program, to participate in Leadership Cayuga. Leadership Cayuga develops individual leadership talent as well as provides a thorough understanding of Cayuga County, a must-have for those wishing to think “futuristically” for the county while still holding tightly to our history and sense of community.
