Church supper to be held in Port Byron
The Port Byron First United Methodist Church will hold a harvest supper of turkey and all the trimmings, followed by homemade pies, at 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, at the church, 8510 South St., Port Byron. Cost is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, $4 for children 6-12 and free for children 5 and under.

Thanksgiving meal held for local singles

St. Mary's Church will hold a Thanksgiving potluck supper at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, for separated, divorced and widowed adults in the Auburn area. Turkey and beverages will be provided, but everyone is encouraged to bring a dish to share. The dinner will be preceded by a meet-and-greet at 6:30 p.m.

Win big at turkey, shrimp raffle night

The St. Alphonsus Parish Life Committee will host a turkey and shrimp raffle night from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, at the Alphonsus Parish Center, 89 E. Genesee St., Auburn. Homemade chili, meatballs, baked goods, soda, beer and more will be served. Turkeys, shrimp and door prizes will be raffled off every 10 minutes. A 50/50 raffle will also be held and additional raffle baskets will be available to win.

Harvest supper to be held in Fleming

Fleming Firehouse No. 2 will host a harvest ham supper at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at the firehouse, 5042 Route 34, Fleming. The menu consists of baked ham, parsley potatoes, squash, baked beans, apple salad, beet relish and rolls. Homemade pies will be served for dessert.

Cost is $7 for adults, $3.50 for children 6-12 and free for children 5 and under.

Girl Scout cookie sales ongoing

Girl Scouts will be selling cookies through November at booths in the Auburn area.

Sales booths will be open at Wal-Mart from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 12; at Movieplex 10 on Grant Avenue from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18; at the Fingerlakes Mall on Saturday, Nov. 18 and 25; and at Lowe's from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 19.

The cost is $3.50 a box.

Thanksgiving pie sale to benefit Cato

The Cato, Ira, Victory and Conquest (CIViC) Heritage Historical Society will hold a Thanksgiving Pie Sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at the Cato Community Bank, 2516 W. Main St.

A variety of pies will be for sale, including cherry, apple, pumpkin and blueberry. Proceeds from the sale will fund a new history center the society plans to begin building soon.
