WEEDSPORT - Nick Van Wie finished his final game in style, rushing for 240 yards and four touchdowns as Weedsport topped Class C Thousand Islands 30-8 in a crossover football game Friday.

With the win in their final home game, the Weedsport seniors finished their careers undefeated at home. The win is also the third of the season against Class C opponents.

Junior quarterback Bryce Leitten had 11 carries for 97 yards while senior Adam Quigley led the defense with 17 tackles.

The Warriors finish the season 7-2.

SKANEATELES - Matt Wood led the Lakers with 115 yards on 15 carries and two touchdowns in their second win in a row.

Thane Green, Win Wickwire and Josh Sherman led a strong Skaneateles defense. Green sacked Canastota's quarterback in the end zone and Ken Dean recovered the fumble for a touchdown.

The Lakers held Canastota to only 59 yards on the ground and 105 yards total.

Skaneateles finishes the season 4-5.
