Alanson D. Burlingame, 22, of Freeville, is accused of entering a camper on Hilliard Road in Locke Oct. 15 and lighting the camper on fire. The camper was completely destroyed and Cayuga County Fire Investigator Scott Bloss assisted in determining the cause of the fire as arson.

The 12:45 a.m. fire was fought by firefighters from Locke, Moravia, Fleming, Genoa and Dryden.
A State Police investigation led to Bulingame's arrest. State Police in Auburn said they were assisted in the arrest by State Police in Homer, the Cortland County Sheriff's Department and the Tompkins County Sheriff's Department.
