Little League has board members
Auburn Little League also had four new board members introduced Monday.

Jack Netti, Dan Burgmaster, Tim Locastro and Barb Sterling are all on the board.

Dennis honored for fourth straight week

William Smith College senior forward Sophie Dennis was named the Field Hockey Offensive Performer of the Week for the fourth consecutive week.

The Port Byron native scored three goals and handed out four assists to lead the Herons to their seventh and eighth consecutive wins.

Against Rochester on Wednesday, she assisted on what proved to be the game-winner and scored an insurance goal to lift William Smith to a 2-0 Liberty League win.

Two nights later, Dennis came within a single assist of tying two school records. She earned an assist on each of William Smith's first three goals and scored a pair of second half goals in a 7-2 rout of Elmira.

Dennis leads the Liberty League with 42 points, more than double the next player in the conference rankings.
