Montezuma hosting educational project
The Leopold Education Project will take place Saturday, Sept. 30, at Montezuma National Wildlife refuge.
This an a one-day workshop designed to train participants to expand their ability to read landscape and teach humanities ties to the natural world.

There will be a Waterfowl identification class from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, at Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge.

Bass Pro offering Coast Guard license
Bass Pro Shops Sportsman's Center will be offering a Coast Guard licensing course in October and November.
The course will be held on Oct. 21, 22,28 and 29 and Nov. 1,8,15,22,29 and 30.

DEC seeking input from hunters
The Department of Environmental Conservation is looking for hunters to cooperate in a long-term study airmed at monitoring ruffed grouse populations.
The study involves hunters keeping a daily diary or log of their grouse hunting activity and success.
Hunters interested in participating can contact the departments by mail, phone or email.

Bowling Hall of Fame coming up
The Auburn USCB Bowling Association together with the Auburn USCA Women's Bowling Association will host an Auburn Bowler's Hall of Fame dinner Nov. 11, at the Sunset Restaurant.
Anyone who wishes to be considered as an inductee may obtain an application from any bowling center or from a league secretary. To qualify, men must be 50 years or older and have bowled for 20 years or more in the Auburn association. Women must be 50 years or older and have bowled for 15 years in the women's association.
