If you find something you're good at, stick with it

As I sat this afternoon to while away time, my mind was writing this note.
As long as you are good at something, keep it up, regardless of what it might be! I occasionally write a little to the local paper and sometimes (not always) they print it. I mail it because of what it says is (hopefully) helpful to someone else!

A few weeks ago, a health problem (part of the aging process) meant I shouldn't live alone. My family helped me see the sense of moving into an assisted living place. Now two daughters who live out of state can rest assured I will get care! Due to personal health reasons, my third daughter and her husband can feel at ease as well!

As I said earlier in this note, if you are good at something keep it up. With me it is knitting and working crossword puzzles. Working the puzzles is good for my brain and knitting helps me “make things.” Maybe your “things” are quite different but still could be good for mind and muscles.

Growing older does bring changes, but determination can help a person handle those changes.

" Thanks for sharing! Keep up that knitting and doing puzzles, and you'll stay sharp. "
