Do you have the travel bug? The Friends of the Weedsport Free Library and First Choice Travel, Inc. invite you to join them at the “Radio City Christmas Spectacular ” in New York City on Dec. 2 and 3.
The bus trip will leave from Weedsport and arrive in NYC by early Saturday afternoon (Dec. 2).
You may choose your own adventure in Mid-town Manhattan from 1 to 9 p.m. Choices could include shopping, museums, Broadway shows, dining - it's up to you.
At 9 p.m., the bus will depart for the hotel, and I can guarantee, you'll be ready to put your feet up.
On Sunday (Dec. 3), you'll enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then depart for Radio City Music Hall and the “Radio City Christmas Spectacular.”
The Hall salutes the holiday season with a showbiz extravaganza, and the spectacle doesn't stop when the curtain goes down.
Outside, a towering tree glitters in the heart of Rockefeller Center, Fifth Avenue department store windows are decked out with imagination-defying splendor.
It seems a miracle really is about to occur on 34th Street and every other thoroughfare in the city.
America's most beloved holiday theatrical, “The Radio City Christmas Spectacular,” starring the world-famous Rockettes, returns to Radio City Music Hall for more than 200 performances this Christmas season.
The 2006 edition of The Christmas Spectacular will return to the great stage featuring exciting new elements, as well as traditional favorites, such as the “The Parade of the Wooden Soldiers” and “The Living Nativity,” that bring families back to Radio City Music Hall year after year.
The Christmas Spectacular features a cast of more than 140 people, glamorous costumes and holiday music written exclusively for the show.
The stars of “The Christmas Spectacular,” the Radio City Rockettes, will continue to dazzle audiences with precision dance and world-famous eye-high kicks, and Santa Claus will make a special appearance from the North Pole.
After the show you'll have more time to shop and explore, then back on the bus by mid-afternoon for the journey back to Weedsport.
The package price is very reasonable and includes round trip motorcoach transportation, one-night hotel accommodations, one breakfast, ticket to the Rockettes (second mezzanine) and driver's gratuity - $229 per person for a double room, $219 per person for a triple room and $209 per person for a quad room.
