Kudos to the Auburn Police Department for the twice-monthly program to inspect and adjust child car seats.

Along with my wife, daughter, and 9-month old grandson, we stopped in on Sept. 8 and were amazed at how little we knew about proper placement and adjustment of the car seat. The car seat manual tells you nothing compared to the information and instruction we received from the two officers who assisted us.

We wish we had thought to get their names (one female, one male) so we could publicly thank them as individuals for their caring, courtesy and professionalism.

What a great service to the families of Auburn!
