Exchange student seeks host family

A foreign exchange student attending Auburn High School is hoping a host family will open its doors to him for the remainder of the academic year. Alex Buettner, 16, currently lives with Ron and Deseret Butler on Sand Beach Road in Auburn. Alex is allergic to cats and horses, so he cannot continue residing with the Butlers, who own three cats. He would like to continue his studies at AHS and therefore must live within the school district.

The Butlers serve as area coordinators and volunteers for Youth For Understanding, the international exchange program that coordinated Alex's stay. Butler said Alex speaks English well. Interested families should contact Ron Butler at 252-3920 for more information.
