The presentation, “Positive Practices and All that Jazz” will be April 29 through May 2.
Tomaselli was instrumental in the implementation of the Periodic Service Review in SCARC Day Services.
The “PSR” system is a management tool which helps to evaluate and quantify the quality and consistency of services and is specifically designed and field-tested in human service and educational programs.
It gives all staff members the opportunity to define what they mean by quality services and to set standards that contribute to the success of the agency#'s programs.
Some of the benefits noted by ARC staff are improved consistency and accountability, more structure and raised standards in general.
Individual staff are sharing ideas and best practices, feeling accountable to the team as a whole, and are working as a division.
