Marriage not to be altered by radicals

An Israeli newspaper ran a story about a 41-year-old female millionaire from London who married a 35-year-old male dolphin in a southern Israeli resort town.
Apparently, Sharon Tendler was quite taken with her aquatic sweetheart when they met 15 years ago. Since then she has traveled back and forth three times a year to continue their romance until they finally decided to tie the knot.

She said she was “the happiest girl on earth” and declared: “I am not a pervert.”

Everything's relative. Men with men, women with women, women with dolphins - who cares?

Increasingly, we hear language expanding upon the homosexual agenda. They speak of discrimination against gays, bisexuals and transgendered people. Can bestiality be far behind? It has already begun, it seems.

If it's perfectly normal for a man to be with a man, then why not a sheep? Or a woman with a goat?

Here's why: It's called Natural Law. All things are made to function according to their nature. Men and women are physically, psychologically and spiritually made for each other. All other combinations violate the natural order of things, are thus truly disordered and automatically harmful.

Sexual perversion goes with a crumbling culture. This has always been true historically (e.g. Greeks, Romans). And it's exactly what we see happening around us today. An area newspaper recently allowed a lesbian couple to announce their “marriage.”

Where will people stop? Animals, trees, furniture? Think that's crazy? Not any crazier than “marrying” a dolphin.

The Democrats have publicly gone on record in support of homosexual marriage. And they're working closely with homosexual organizations to fight all the states where Legislatures are trying to pass marriage-protection amendments defining marriage as the lawful union between a man and a woman.

But gay activists aren't just pushing for the legalization of homosexual marriages. They want a lot more than that - like the acceptance of many different kinds of relationships, including polygamy. Let's face it, the goal of homosexual activists is the complete destruction of the normal, traditional marriage. And it could happen, too. Especially with the cooperation of the Democratic Party, which has already endorsed gay-marriage bills as part of its official platform in eight states - including New York.

Meanwhile, the gay lobby is one of the strongest and most influential in the country. Not a day goes by when our representatives in Washington and Albany aren't being hammered with the gay message.

We must be vigilant and aggressive in counteracting it with truth. The absolute truth.

" God wanted Adam & Eve not Adam & Steve. God said be fruitful and multiply,I believe he was talking about the fruit of the womb, just in case none knows what that is. only females have that. So God made man for woman & woman for man. He did not make man for man or woman for woman. But God did give us the freedom to choose what we want to be. So if you choose to be gay. then thats your choice, However we donot have to except that nor do we need to have it forced now our throats.I will talk Bible because in the book of romans God speaks against lovers of their own kind, (MEN with MEN and WOMAN with WOMAN.) When they can bear fruit in their womb with each other then I'LL say its not wrong. "

" Quick question: Currently, what does The Citizen and AM talk radio have in common? Answer: They seek to pique its readership (or audience), not educate them. You see, the more outrageous Judy Blue-Eyes' columns, the more folks will buy the newspaper, and respond just as I am doing now. Management probably loves the stuff because at least some people will pick up each Tuesday's edition of the newspaper, wondering, "Gee, I wonder what crackpot ideas Judy spews this week." Op-ed pieces ought to educate readers to other points of view, not alienate or polarize them with mindless drivel from the far right (or far left, for that matter). And, if the rumor is true that Art is returning to The Citizen as a columnist, perhaps the paper's management will bring Billy Kufs back, too. If so, how can anyone take that paper seriously? My guess is that Lithgow Osborne is turning in his grave. "

" The op-ed piece, "Marriage Not to be Altered by Radicals" is pure poetry to the eyes and to the soul. Writing of relationships with dolphins, sheep, goats takes me back to that 80s MTV classic, "Physical," by Olivia Newton-John. "Let's get animal, animal, I wanna get animal, let's get into animal Let me hear your body talk, your body talk, let me hear your body talk." Judy, are you currently on the 12-step program? "

" Jon, there is some validity in what you say, but I don't agree with it all. Unfortunately, this is not the correct forum to address everyting that is wrong in this country. School shootings - have you listened to music that kids listen to today that condone death and suicide?? It's shocking what is being passed off as music these days, and is brainwashing a lot of these kids. Tell me that is not a form of deviant behavior!!! How about all the crap that the kids are into on My Space?? That's a haven for all kinds of deviants. There's others as well. I'm not saying that kids or anyone should adhere to the norm, as it stands, but to help to facilitate it to become better, not pollute it with the fringe elements that are in place now. I do agree that big oil, and also big utilities are going to ruin this country, ultimately, unless someone comes up with a way to challenge those monopolies. And I do believe that the drug lords in South America and other 3rd world countries are supported by their governments that hate the U.S., and want to see our society weakened by drug use. And it's happening more & more as time goes by. "

Jon wrote on Aug 31, 2006 1:13 PM:

" Patrick, if you can link school shooting and gay marriage or other deviant behavior to school shootings I want proof. Who's to say that the kids aren't bringing guns to school because they are gay and feel threatened by homophobic people like Ms. Ducayne? I think that big oil companies are just as dangerous, if not much more so than drug lords. They are in the business of making money, so are the oil companies, why would drug lord want to "bring down our country" their biggest customer..at least the drug lords don't destroy our environment and ecosystems. We are more addicted to oil to power our SUV's and AC's to just go cold turkey. Your entire post is faulty and without thought. You are the one who is not seeing the big picture. The fact of the matter that the more you pressure a minority to adhere to the "norm" and not be "deviant", then the more problems you create, teenage suicide for being ashamed of being gay, drug use, gangs, violence. All products of people like yourself for shunning what you don't like or understand. Unnacceptence is the greater threat, and people like yourself and Ms. Ducayne feed that fire more so than anything. The blood is on the hand of the oppressors, not the victims. "

SK wrote on Aug 31, 2006 11:22 AM:

" Judy your marriage is a disgrace to me, yet you feel you have the right to marry who you want, and then rub it in all our faces. The real problem is that I have issues writing this because it gives you the publicity you crave. Any publicity is fine by you- you don't even care if it is negative. But, I digress because the problem I have with your column is that the Citizen seems to hold it's readers more accountable for their comments then their columnists. In case nobody was paying attention, we readers can have our comments removed, just in case we do not agree with their platform "code of conduct" who are they kidding? Judy breaks all their codes, of course it was not racist comments she made this time, it was only homophobic, which the Citizen feels is perfectly fine. I say do what I did- cancel your home deliveries to the Citizen and hurt them where it counts. "

Patrick wrote on Aug 31, 2006 10:13 AM:

" I think the thrust of this article is how deviant behavior is weakening the fabric of our society. Judy has only brought up points to highlight her article. And if you look around this country today, you'll see that this is quite true. Look at kids bringing weapons to school as another point. Look at how 3rd world countries are profiting from supplying people here with drugs, to help bring down our society, weakening us. They can't do it economically or millitarily, so they use that method. Corruption in this country is rampant. So, some of you people should open your eyes and look at the bigger picture. There's a lot of things at work in this country aimed at hurting us. "

Leslie wrote on Aug 30, 2006 9:49 PM:

" I didn't know the Citizen hired Comedians as editorial writers. This is the most laughable, embarassing article I have read in a long time. Ms. Ducayne, I hope this is not your dayjob. Comparing Beastiality to Gay marriage is not the same comparison. Gay marriage involves two consenting adults, obviously the story (which probably circulated in some far right wing blog which caters to the same nuts it is written for) blows the story out of perspective. Gay marriage should be so low on the legislative agenda that it shouldn't waste the energy to bewritten about. It affects NO ONE but the people getting the marrige, but people like Ms. Ducayne dig up this issue to cover the fact that this issue is something they are hiding from and confront it by bashing it from the closet instead of confronting it like a proud adult. I think it would be best for the community for Ms. Ducayne to stay in the closet...a real one far far away. "

" I can hear Cary Grant now, Judy Judy, Judy. Please cite a reference that will show me that gays wish to destroy the normal, traditional marriage or are desirous of laws which will make polygamy a legal act. Bestiality is the engagement of a human and animal in sexual relations. How will the millionaire woman and her dolphin husband will accomplish that? You wrote that men and women are spiritualy, psychologically and spiritually made for each other. Obviously not, since men commit to men and women commit to women and the divorce rate for those who you say are meant for each other is over 50%. If the gay lobby in Washington is so strong why aren't they having the same success as oil lobby, the NRA and the insurance industries? "

Patrick wrote on Aug 30, 2006 1:15 PM:

" Deviant behavior is behavior that is a recognized violation of social norms. Formal and informal social controls attempt to prevent and minimize deviance. It is not the act itself, but the reactions to the act, that make something deviant. Straight people have no need to brodcast what their sexual preferences are, but the same is not true for gays. The reason is, that the straight way of life is the social norm, while the gay life style is the deviant. But being very much in our faces about their deviant behavior, they are trying to make us believe that theirs is a social norm as well. But this flys in the face of religious teachings, as well as NATURAL LAW. Survival reasons that homosexuality exist in the first place?? Please, I think not..... "

Michael wrote on Aug 30, 2006 12:34 AM:

" Oh, Judy, I have to admit that, in fact, I was once just like you. You do not like something that you do not understand. Your bazar and outlandish attempt to assimilate homosexuality with bestiality reflects on an inability to see the world as presented. Little do most people realize that homosexuality exists in all of the higher life forms. In fact, there are survival reasons that homosexuality exist in the first place. Otherwise, homosexuals would have vanished long ago or never occurred in the first place. Scientist, I being among them, are far from realizing the multiple beneficial roles that homosexuals play in any society. Our society, in the animal kingdom including dolphins, is the only one reluctant to embrace it entirely. In fact, homosexual pairs run the most successful social structures (Conrad Lorenz- Nobel Prize Winner). Homosexuality is a heterosexual job. Homosexuals are working on making the world a better place for everyone, including you, Judy. We all need to thank homosexuals for being here; without homosexuals, perhaps none of us would be here. Rest assured that there will come a day that your voice, unfortunately not alone, will resonate like Hitler’s has in the past. Honestly, I have never been a fan of gay marriage. However, it is people like you, Judy, with your pressurized insidious verbal diarrhea that’s been persuading me in the other direction. Love shared within the same species and among consenting adults is something to be cherished, honored and respected. Let homosexuals marry, and let the world will be a better place. "

And these freaks that try to interpret the bible, you are just like the fanatic muslims that try to justify killing innocent people because of their interpetation of the Koran. You keep staring at the words and eventually they will mean what you want them to. Let people live their lives and stop fretting at what does not harm you. "

" I am reading this from MA where gay marriage is legal, and you know what problems we have had here because of it..yep..none. I think we waste so much time and effort on such a moot point that maybe this "enlightned" columnist should focus on real problems this country is facing. An unjustified and unprovoked war which has killed more people than gay marriage ever could fathom.(actually..would/has gay marriage kill(ed) anyone?) Come on, why do we debate this. Luckily, when we look back at history we see how ignorant and bigoted people that disagreed with minority rights, woman's rights, interacial marriage, school segregation, apartheid, etc etc. I can't wait to look back and see how people would react to this columnist and her laughable arguments and points. There is too much wrong in this world, and columnists like this one only add to it, but note that opposing view points are important and required, but knowing who was right in the end is key. I am glad to know that history will look back and laugh at columns like the one Ms. Ducayne just wrote and the stoneaged, uneducated and unaccepting thought process behind it. "

" Judy, I agree with you, homosexuality is an abomination! According to Leviticus 18:22, and cannot be condoned in any circumstance'. Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's and nature's Law. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind them that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate. I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the other specific laws and how to follow them. 1. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord - Lev. 1:9. The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them? 2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her? 3. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness - Lev. 15:19-24. The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense. 4. Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians? 5. I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself? 6. A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination - Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this? 7. Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is here some wiggle room here? 8. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How should they die? 9. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves? 10. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev. 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? - Lev. 24:10-16. Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14) I know you must have studied these things extensively, so I am confident you can help. Thank you again for reminding us that God and nature is eternal and unchanging. Your devoted disciple and adoring fan. Gary "

" What "facts" am I supposed to know? I note your contribution wasn't particularly constructive either and no, I don't need to glorify myself by appearing on this page. Yes, a human woman marrying a dolphin is utterly ridiculous. But I find it questionable that in the past week, the Citizen has run four commentaries that are all highly discrimminatory. Michael Reagan's letter on immigration, the 2 commentaries on tattooing and now Ms. Ducayne's column that clearly is not about dolphins but gay marriage. I don't know your feelings on discrimmination and I don't care but it seems that in this day and age, there are certain things that are within our culture that are here to stay and we no longer have room for bigotry. "
